1. Restrictions

1.1. To participate as a rider, an individual must be 21 years or older at the time of the rental or purchase of a motorcycle, possess a valid motorcycle driving license (international driving permit required for foreigners), be in good health, and have adequate control over the bike.

1.2. The rented or purchased vehicle shall not be used outside India.

1.3. The vehicle must not be used for any race, competition, or illegal purposes.

1.4. Riders must not operate the vehicle in a negligent manner.

1.5. The vehicle may not be operated by any other person without written permission from Dream Ride Rentals.

1.6. For bookings of less than 3 days, the vehicle cannot be used for outstation travel except in Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, and Ghaziabad.

Advisory:

Due to restrictions imposed by local unions in Ladakh, non-local vehicles may not be permitted to travel to certain destinations. Tourists are required to use the services of local taxi and bike rental operators. We advise our customers to exercise caution when planning trips to Ladakh. Dream Ride Rentals will not be responsible for any transactions with third parties, and no claims or refunds will be entertained in this regard.

2. Documents Required

2.1. For Indian citizens:

A copy of a valid driver’s license (learner licenses are not accepted).

A copy of address proof (Aadhar, Voter ID, or Passport).

Employer’s details.

A post-dated cheque endorsing ‘Not Over Rs. [motorbike’s depreciated cost]’. For example, if the vehicle’s depreciated cost is ₹100, the endorsement will be for ‘Not over ₹100’.

2.2. For Foreign nationals:

A copy of a valid passport (valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended stay in India).

A valid Indian Tourist Visa (for eligible countries, e-Tourist Visas can be obtained online).

An international driving permit.

A copy of the return flight ticket.

3. Security Deposit

The security deposit ranges from INR 10,000 to INR 50,000 depending on the bike model chosen. This sum acts as insurance against any damages incurred during the rental period. Upon return, the bike will be thoroughly inspected by our mechanic. In case of no damages, the full deposit will be refunded. Refunds can take up to 7 business days and will be transferred via bank, UPI, or PayPal. 

3.1. Deposit Refund Conditions:

We guarantee a full refund of your deposit if:

  1. The bike is returned on time with prior notice.
  2. No damages are found on the bike.
  3. All components of the bike are intact.
  4. The bike is returned in reasonably clean condition.
  5. The fuel level matches the level at the time of rental.
  6. No traffic violations were incurred during the rental period. Any traffic fines incurred must be settled by the client independently.

3.2. Deposit Retention Conditions:

We will retain your deposit if:

  1. You fail to provide sufficient notice for the bike’s return.
  2. You do not inform us at least 24 hours in advance if you wish to extend the rental period.
  3. We do not approve the rental extension request due to existing bookings.
  4. The bike is damaged or missing parts.
  5. The bike was operated by a third party.
  6. We are forced to collect the bike outside of our working hours (10:00 am to 7:00 pm) or outside the accepted delivery area.
  7. A fine of INR 200-500 or an extra day’s rental cost (whichever is higher) will be charged for late returns, in addition to taxes.

3.3. Refund Process:

The original deposit will be returned, with no consideration for exchange rate fluctuations or interest. Refunds will be made via NEFT/UPI (for Indian nationals) or PayPal (for foreign nationals). The refund may take up to 7 business days.

3.4. Major Damages:

In case of major damage to the bike, repair costs must be settled in cash or via available payment methods at the time of bike return. Rental charges will continue until the bike is repaired and returned. After providing the damage bill, refund requests must be made within 7 days. Failure to request within the stipulated time will result in forfeiture of the deposit.

4. Orientation

You will be given a test ride before your journey begins. The purpose of this test ride is to familiarize you with the bike. If you are not satisfied with the vehicle during this ride, please bring it to our attention immediately. Our mechanic will rectify the issue. Additionally, one of our team members will provide mechanical training to explain common bike parts and their functions.

5. Inclusions

You will be given a test ride before your journey begins. The purpose of this test ride is to familiarize you with the bike. If you are not satisfied with the vehicle during this ride, please bring it to our attention immediately. Our mechanic will rectify the issue. Additionally, one of our team members will provide mechanical training to explain common bike parts and their functions.

5.1. For rentals lasting 3-14 days, 300 kilometers per day are included. Rentals of less than 3 days or more than 15 days include 200 kilometers per day, up to 45 days. For rentals of 46-365 days, a monthly limit of 3,000 kilometers applies. Additional kilometers will be charged at ₹5-₹15 per kilometer, depending on the model (plus GST). If you exceed the included kilometers for rentals longer than 3 days, you’ll be charged an additional day’s rental fee plus the excess kilometer charges. For local rentals of 1 or 2 days, exceeding the included kilometers will incur a charge equivalent to a minimum of 3 days’ rental fee, along with the excess kilometer charges. Total mileage is calculated based on the round-trip distance from our warehouse in Jhilmil Colony, East Delhi, even if you choose self-pickup and delivery.

5.2. For rentals of less than 3 days, the vehicle may only be used within Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, and Ghaziabad.

5.3. The rental includes motorbike accessories such as rear view mirrors and leg guards.

5.4. A motorbike registration certificate, third-party insurance, and Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate will be provided through the mParivahan app.

6. Reservation

To reserve a bike, go to the “Rentals” page, select the available bikes, and choose the pickup and drop-off location along with the rental dates. For Delhi and Noida centers, 100% of the total rental must be paid in advance to reserve a bike. The deposit will be collected at the time of pickup. For other centers, 60-100% advance payment (varies by city) is required to confirm the booking. No advance payment is required for walk-ins

7. Vehicle Choice

 Please ensure you choose an alternative vehicle, as unforeseen circumstances (e.g., breakdown or accident) may make your first choice unavailable. We will do our best to ensure you receive your preferred vehicle. If you do not select a second preference within 2 hours of placing your order, we reserve the right to upgrade your booking to any available model.

8. What is the Convenience Fee?

A non-refundable convenience fee of 2.75% to 4% of the total billing amount applies for payments made through net banking, credit cards, debit cards, UPI, or wallets. This fee covers the charges paid to the payment gateway for facilitating online transactions. No convenience fee is charged for direct payments via IMPS, Google Pay, Paytm, or cash.

10. Replacement Policy

10.1. Customer Responsibility: In the event of a breakdown, damage, or loss of the rented motorcycle, the customer is responsible for all associated replacement costs, including fuel, rider expenses, and transportation of the vehicle.

10.2. Notification: The customer must immediately notify our customer service or designated contact in case of any breakdown, damage, or loss of the rented motorcycle.

10.3. Advance Payment: The customer must pay the estimated replacement cost in advance to confirm the replacement. Failure to make this payment may delay the replacement process.

11. Insurance

Only third-party vehicle insurance is provided, as required under Indian regulations. This offers limited coverage. If you cause an accident, the claim is usually settled with cash compensation. We recommend negotiating quickly and continuing your journey. Staying attentive is your best insurance.

Additionally, please ensure you arrange your own medical and accident/travel insurance before departure, especially if you plan to ride in challenging regions. Staying focused on your ride is the best precaution.

12. Late Penalties

A grace period of 30 minutes is allowed for bike returns.

Delays beyond this or unapproved extensions will incur a fine of INR 200-500 per hour or the next day’s rental fee, whichever is higher, depending on the bike model (plus applicable taxes).

Additional kilometers will be charged at a rate of INR 5-15 per KM or the next day’s rental fee, whichever is higher, based on the model (plus applicable taxes).

13. Mechanical Warranty

Optional mechanical warranty is available for INR 500 per day (plus taxes) and can be added to the final order at checkout.

This warranty covers tyres (excluding road hazards like punctures), batteries, brake systems, and electrical components (e.g., ignition switch, wiring).

13.1. The warranty excludes any non-specified parts.

13.2. Not applicable on discounted rentals or complimentary accessories.

13.3. Not applicable for third-party bookings.

13.4. Reimbursement for repairs requires pre-approval from our workshop team and will only cover spare part costs based on authorized dealer prices in New Delhi.

13.5. Claims must be submitted within 7 days of the rental’s end with original bills and faulty parts.

13.6. Warranty is void in cases of negligence or if the bike is overloaded (e.g., two riders on a 350cc or smaller bike).

13.7. Customers are responsible for repair costs if the mechanical warranty does not cover the damage.

14. Refund & Cancellation Policy

14.1. Confirmed bookings are non-refundable.
14.2. In case of unavailability, a full refund (minus merchant fees) will be initiated and may take 7 business days to process.
14.3. No refund after advance payment is made.
14.4. Modifications to bookings must have a payable amount equal to or greater than the original order.
14.5. 100% refund if Dream Ride Rentals cancels the booking.
14.6. Dream Ride Rentals reserves the right to cancel bookings without prior notice.
14.7. No refunds for early returns.

15. Service & Repair

15.1. For mechanical assistance, contact us at +91 86858 68512. For major issues, we will help find the nearest service station.
15.2. After 1000 km, a general check-up is required, and after 2500 km, a service is mandatory. Failure to do so can result in penalties.
15.3. Daily maintenance of the bike (checking oil levels, chain tension, etc.) is the customer’s responsibility.
15.4. If servicing is required during the rental, customers must bear the cost as per the manufacturer’s guidelines.
15.5. All repairs must be pre-approved, and only parts costs are reimbursable with an invoice.

16. Vehicle Loss, Theft, or Write-Off

16.1. If a bike is lost or stolen, notify us and the police immediately. You must pay the depreciated value of the bike as per the agreement.
16.2. If the bike is recovered by the police, you are responsible for any associated fees (fines, storage, etc.).
16.3. If you lose the parking ticket, notify us immediately.
16.4. A fine of INR 4000 will be imposed if the bike’s original documents are lost or retained.

17. Returning the Bike

17.1. Returns can be arranged during working hours (10 AM – 7 PM). For returns outside these hours, prior arrangements must be made.
17.2. Bikes cannot be left with third parties. 24 hours’ notice is required for returns and inspections.
17.3. Damages will be deducted from the deposit, and additional costs will be charged if damages exceed the deposit.
17.4. Customers must ensure all personal items are removed from the bike before return.
17.5. Bikes must be returned the day before any scheduled flights to allow for inspection and deposit refunding.
17.6. Rental charges continue if a breakdown or accident occurs, and the vehicle remains in the customer’s possession.

18. Collection Day

On collection day, customers will be required to sign necessary documents and present originals for verification.
